Statement of Services
Dr. El-Gabalawy is a Clinical Psychologist for Shared Health. Her primary clinical interests are in behavioural medicine, trauma related disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety disorders. In regard to behavioural medicine, her practice focuses on adjustment to illness (e.g., recent diagnosis of cancer) and adverse health events (e.g., surgery complications). She is particularly interested in traumatic health events. Dr. El-Gabalawy has expertise in cognitive behavioural, trauma-related (cognitive processing and prolonged exposure), and acceptance and commitment based therapies. She primarily works with adolescents, adults, and older adults. She is also able to see a limited number of patients through private practice. She is currently not taking new patients.
